Bridging Gaps in Inclusion: Collaborative Solutions for Women’s Participation in Digital Finance

To address barriers for women in the rapidly changing digital banking landscape of Brazil, IntegrateWomen convened an initiative targeting this goal.

The initiative brought together representatives from digital banks, regulatory agencies, fintech startups, and women-led consumer groups for an interactive forum held in São Paulo.

Participants discussed topics ranging from digital onboarding for unbanked women to algorithmic bias in credit scoring.

Each event featured a collaborative design sprint for new financial inclusion solutions, with culminating presentations to a panel of industry leaders.

As a direct outcome, two pilot partnerships emerged: one focused on improving gender-focused outreach in financial literacy, and another exploring ways to collect gender-disaggregated user data respectfully.

Surveys showed a significant increase in mutual understanding between consumer advocates and fintech engineers, a key step toward more inclusive product development.

IntegrateWomen is now recognized by several partners as a convener and thought leader in Brazil’s digital finance space.
